This ring is one of my favorites because it features a nice gigantic opal mosaic cabochon. I could not find a setting larger enough to set this one in, so I decided to wrap it in some silver wire. The silver wire looked beautiful but kept stretching out of shape.
Although I do not have a photo of it yet, I removed it from this original setting and placed it into a larger necklace setting, and then wire wrapped it for a more fancy set.
Although this picture does do this opal some justice, what you miss is the flashing greens, oranges, and yellow lights when worn.
